![]() So is Shift+click.Ĭtrl+G = Move the current layer, or selected layers, into a group. Shift+arrows allows to select consecutive layers. When focus is on layers, arrow works too. Note: when I write “current layer”, it often applies to a selection of layers. Once a selection is made, you can make one with Shift pressed: it adds to the selection with Alt pressed: it removes from selection. When making a rectangular or elliptical selection, press Alt to move the selection instead of grow / shrink, and Shift contraints to 1:1 aspect ratio.Īlso works for rectangular / elliptical drawing tools, BTW. I mostly use the Outline Selection Tool (freehand), I assigned it the S shortcut. Play with options for tolerance, growth, feathering, etc. Fill the selection and / or the current color with the FG color. I rather use the Ctrl key to go into color picking mode.į = Fill Tool. G = Gradient tool, between FG and BG colors. You can quickly group & ungroup layers to do that (or just keep these useful groups!)Ĭ = Crop Tool: cut the bounds of the image to what is selected. Moreover, if you select a group of layers, it will move the whole group at once. T = Move Tool: move the current layer ou the selection, depending on optionsĬtrl+T = Transform a layer or selection: beside rotating, inverting or deforming capabilities, allows to move the selection. H = Show color history (below the palette colors used in the current picture) U = Show common colors (on the left of the palette allows quick selection alternative: right-click…) Shift+Backspace = Fill selection with FG color.Ĭtrl+Backspace = Fill selection with BG color (opacity).Ĭtrl+Shift+Backspace = Fill selection with FG color (opacity). Defaultĭ = Default foreground (FG =black) and background (BG = white) colors.Ĭtrl+I = Invert colors on current layer(s).īackspace = Fill selection with BG color. V = Hold this key, press mouse and hold it, it will trace a straight line between the press point and the release point. You can hit Ctrl+G to group the selected layers, for example… Shift+R = Idem, but add the layer to the selection of layers. Hold this key, click on a pixel, you select the layer holding this pixel. Shift+Space+left mouse button for fine canvas rotations.Ĭtrl+click = Color pick the pixel under the cursor.Ĭtrl+Alt+click = idem, but only if on current layer. Also with middle button (mouse wheel) click and drag. ![]() Shift+left mouse drag in Brush mode = resize brush (large when dragging to right, small when dragging to left). Right-click = Show a palette of brushes, color history and other tools. Note: FG = foreground (color), BG = background (color) Mouse shortcuts I've created shortcuts under Custom Shortcuts KMenuEdit. There are tons of shortcuts, I list here those I use often while drawing. I've removed the global shortcuts for them Ģ. Whilst Zeal and Free42 are ELF 64-bit executables, the other application is a shell script.įor Zeal and Free42 which didn't work, this is how I've circumvented:ġ. I suspect (just a wild guess!) that the trouble has to do with the file contents. ![]() I've created the desktop file just like in the case of Free42 described above, but Free42 fails whilst this other application works fine. Strangely enough, another application which I've installed via a shell script, this works fine. Meta+C conflicts with Application Custon Shortucts Service for action Free42 * Free42, which I've installed via a shell script : a global shortcut is created. A message warns that Meta+Z for application Zeal conflicts with action Zeal. Using KMenuEdit for defining shortcuts fails in these cases: Using KMenuEdit for defining shortcuts works well, creating global shortcuts for them: I don't know the root cause, but I can enumerate some cases which works well and some cases which fails. In particular, it seems that assigning shortcuts from KMenuEdit works in many circumstances but fails in other circumstances. the keyboard shortcuts don't do anything. ![]() But for things like Open File, Save, Close Document, Select All, Deselect, Select Opaque, etc. At least, most of the tools which I can select by clicking a button in the Tool Box panel have working keyboard shortcuts. I've noticed many (if not most) of the broken shortcuts seem to be for functions that you have to pick from the menu bar. I'm not sure if there's a pattern to the bug or not. It's like for this for about half of every keyboard shortcut in all of Krita. The only way to Undo is from Edit menu, or the Undo History docker. But when I press Ctrl-Z, nothing happens. The Undo function, for example, is still set to Ctrl-Z. When I open up the keyboard shortcuts dialog ( Krita Settings > Configure Shortcuts), the shortcuts I've customized or left at the default setting are still there. In the past (in Krita 2.8.x) I had problems where Krita would completely forget my custom shortcuts. Some of the default keyboard shortcuts, and some of my custom shortcuts don't do anything.
